HELLO! I’M CRYSTAL....
A mom, a wife, and a business owner. I have been photographing for 15 years through 2 recessions and a pandemic! Yikes! But I’m still here and going strong. I started out with an entry level Nikon, a whole lot of passion, but not a clue of business sense. We wear sooo many hats as photographers. Not only do we need to master our camera but we need to know about web design, editing, marketing, accounting, and a whole lot of other things that come along with running our own business.
Before YouTube, Facebook groups, and presets that real-life experience was all you had! Formal education was something I felt I needed for myself and I worked all through my undergrad and my post graduate degree to build my skillset enough to really understand the necessary strategies needed for a sustainable and profitable business. I have a Masters of Business Administration degree from Concordia University, St. Paul which I received in 2013.
I am here to guide you and provide an outside perspective to improve your business strategies, offer constructive feedback, make decisions more confidently as well as help accelerate business growth and revenue!

What is mentoring?
A mentor is someone who helps you grow your skills, make better decisions, and gain new perspectives on your life and career. As a mentee, your mentor will leverage their experience to give you guidance on your career or life now and in the future. Rather than learning through trial and error, a mentor is a person you can look to for direction and a role model to imitate.

Then, I’ll send over a proposal with a few different options to consider specific to your needs. Lastly, you will select your package and complete your contract.
What will my kids learn at Photography Camp?
Your child will learn beginning photography concepts including:
Camera basics (How to operate, hold camera, camera care)
Introduce what exposure, ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture, White balance all mean
History of photography
Types of photographers
Composition & posing (candid vs. posed)
Importance of light
They will learn this hands-on and we will be able to go outside and take photos to build their photography portfolio.
